Layout Capabilities
The RSoft CAD Environment has been designed from the ground up to accommodate the special needs of photonic devices and circuits. Fundamental objects such as straight, tapered, and curved components, lenses, and polygons can easily be selected from the toolbar and graphically added to the circuit using the mouse. In addition to standard objects, the CAD allows for the creation of customized components using mathematical equations or data files. Component positions may be specified directly, either absolutely or through relative offsets with respect to any other component. At any time, one or several components may be selected and moved, scaled, deleted, or reinserted. This unique design approach provides an extremely flexible system in which the desired logical arrangement can be maintained.Object-Oriented Design
Each individual component can have its own set of properties that can be accessed with a right click of the mouse. Parameters include shape information and optical properties such as refractive index profile type and value. This unique object-oriented input model is extremely flexible. Furthermore, each parameter of a component (e.g. position coordinates, width, index) can be specified by an arithmetic expression involving user-defined variables, rather than simply being a constant number. This allows an entire design to be easily modified by using formulas to define each component's angle, the entire circuit can be modified by simply changing the value of a single variable without having to edit multiple parts of the structure.Features

Modern, intuitive environment
The 2016.1 release of PetroMod petroleum systems modeling software combines geophysical and petrophysical data with geological knowledge to model the evolution of petroleum systems in a modern, intuitive environment.The combination of a state-of-the-art interface, high-speed simulation performance, and customizable functionality enables sophisticated analysis of the dynamic temperature, pressure, and migration history of complex geological systems in a fast and intuitive, process-focused workflow. Petroleum systems 3D models generated in the Petrel platform can be simulated by directly connecting to the PetroMod software simulation engine.

Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDG) are a remarkable source of information of both long term production data and the capture of occasional buildups that may be described as ‘free well tests’. Data are acquired at high frequency and over a long duration. The down side is the large number of data points gathered, which can amount to hundreds of millions per sensor which is far beyond the processing capability of today’s fastest PC. There are a number of challenges: storing and accessing the raw data, filtering, transferring this to the relevant analysis module and finally sharing both filtered data and analyses.
KAPPA Server is a client-server solution for PDG reservoir surveillance that addresses these issues in a shared environment. It permanently mirrors raw data from any data historian, reduces the number of points with wavelet-based filtering, stores and shares the filtered data. Filtered data can be exported to third party databases.
Mirroring involves copying the data tag from the
historian into a gauge item in KAPPA Server. Once this is done the gauge
item is kept updated by an internal process that checks for additional
data and mirrors them.

High frequency data (PDG)
Time-lapse data with measures recorded every 1 – 30 second intervals can be considered as high frequency data (pressure, temperature, flowmeter rates) and usually are stored in the company’s data historian. Using a preconfigured data link an user can browse the list of available tags (gauges, data sets) in the historian and select the required ones to be mirrored into KAPPA Server.2016-08_latest software_download_tutorials

Network Analysis - Integrated AC & DC System
network analysis - integrated AC & DC systemETAP is a fully integrated AC and DC electrical power system analysis tool. Engineers use ETAP in thousands of companies and electric utilities worldwide in the design, analysis, maintenance, and operation of electrical power systems.
DC network utilizes the same database as AC modules. DC Load Flow and DC Short Circuit provide analysis capabilities for engineers to design and maintain DC power systems.
