•Types of analysis:

-thermal (heat conduction, heat transfer by contact and radiation)

-Diffusion (carburisation)

-Microstructural analysis (thermal treatment, phase transformation including volume change)

• Cross-sectional view of the workpiece in the postprocessor (slicing)

• Inductive and resistance heating in 2D.
